The first step of the 2009 World Cup, will take place on the 16th & 17th May in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, The most important city of the Paradisiac Island of Gran Canaria.
Gran Canaria, is a Spanish Island located on the African cost, just nearby Marocco.
It will be the first time that Las Palams Patina (http://www.laspalmaspatina.es) will organise a World Cup. We are sure that this will be a great sport and sun event.
All the IFSA sports will be proposed during this event in both men and women categories (Freestyle Slalom, Speed Slalom and Free Jump). The schedule will be post in the coming weeks. Depending of the schedule and number of skaters, the organisation may propose open sports such as High Jump and Jam Slalom.
Inscriptions will start in the coming weeks, directly on the IFSA Website. Therefore to make sure you book your place, register to the IFSA Newsletter, to be informed of the last information for this event.

The Airport is situated at 18 kilometres from the island’s capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. When you arrive at Gran Canaria airport you will collect your luggage from one of three different zones. Zone A is for all passengers traveling from within the EU, Zone B is for all other International traffic and Zone C is for all Inter Canary Island flights. You will find the taxis on a rank outside of each of the three main arrival zones.On your return to the airport the taxi drivers will drop you off outside the departures hall. Gran Canaria Airport is about 18 kms from the Islands main town of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and a taxi into the City centre will set you back about €28 euros. The taxi charges are split into two fare bands:
Fare 1 (from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, working days): all or part of each kilometre: €0.47 minimum fare: €2.68; price per hour waiting, €12.79 and fractional rate for every 15 minutes, €3.20.
