Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th September Arc de Triumf – Barcelona – Espana


Barcelona – capital of skating is welcoming this year the BARCELONA GAMES 2011. Organized by Rodats & accredited IFSA, it will propose to the Freestyle Skaters (Amateurs or Competitors) a competition of Freestyle Slalom, Speed Slalom, Free Jump & High Jump – as well as a big show for the public of Barcelona. It will happen Saturday 24th September & Sunday 25th September 2011 – at the famous Arc de Triumf. The Amateur category for freestyle slalom is set to welcome the intermediate skaters – preparing the future of our sports. Easy rules such as choosing the lines of slalom you want, having no list of tricks… will make the competition easy to enter.

Prize Money There will be various prices distributed during the week-end for all events. Especially for Freestyle Slalom – Competitor, the organisation as decided to offer a big prize money as follow + more prize money for the Amateur too :

  • Entry to the competition will be 15€ disregarding the number of sports you want to join.
  • Entry + a celebration T-shirt will be 25€


  • Entry to the competition will be 10€ disregarding the number of sports you want to join.
  • Entry + a celebration T-shirt will be 20€

Inscriptions for the events will are opened : the inscription module is at the bottom of this page. Payment will be handled for your improved security by Paypal. You will therefore, even if you are not a paypal user, be able to pay by debit or credit card. if you are Paypal registered you’ll be able to pay by wire transfer too. If you have difficulty while you proceed with your inscription do not hesitate to contact us by email: Barcelonagames@ifsasports.org Please, proceed your inscription as soon as possible. It helps the organization & the production. Thank you. Inscription prices will raise up 5€, 2 weeks before the competition. Note that at the time of inscription you will have to select the sports you want to attend during the week end. Moreover, competitor for freestyle slalom will have to provide their list of technical tricks, it is not necessary for Amateur to do so.

Schedule :

All Freestyle Amateur and Competitor as well as the Jam will take place on Saturday 24th and All Speed Slalom, Free Jump, Slides and High Jump will take place on Sunday 25th. Could be changed in case of rain issue.

The schedule will depends on the number of athletes & will be confirmed, displayed on Saturday at the competition. Meanwhile, here is the forcast :

9:00-11:00 : Freestyle Amateur women / Freestyle Amateur men (depends on the number of Amateurs)
11:15-13:30 : Freestyle qualifications Women / Men (depends on the number of competitors)

14:15-17:00 : lunch break
17:00-18:00 : Slides
18:15-19:00 : Freestyle women final
19:15-20:00 : Freestyle  men Final

9:00-11:00 : Free jump Women / Men (depends on the number of competitors)

Acces :

By Metro : Line 1 Arc de Triumf By Plane : Arriving at Barcelona – Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, join the bus station outside the terminal. AeroBus will drive you to the center of the city for 5,30€ – Placa Catalunya. Then take Métro line 1, drive 2 stations until Arc de Triumf. By Train : You will arrive to Sants Station – take the Metro line 3 change at Station Espana to Line 1, and drive until Arc de Triumf.

Rules 2011 :

**You can now download the updated 2011 rules here: 2011-IFSA-FIRS-Rules, 2011-IFSA-FIRS-Rules Annexe, Judge Sheets. You can as well download a zip folder including all these document (Download)**

Below are some of the main changes: + no more best trick -> 1st run qualification + 2nd run final + the competitor will present the list of his technical tricks (max 10), the 7 best tricks will score. This procedure to help technical judge & provide better accuracy of the results. + Technical : 5 points for speed are replaced by  5 points for technical impression footworks. + Music will be 10points +10points  (General Rythm + Melody) + Family tricks penalty = -3 points each + Eagle family dissapears (only 4 families : jumping, wheeling, spinning, sitting) + Tricks Matrix will be slightly updated as follow :

Amateur Freestyle competition, the same rules + differences : + only 1 run + no list of tricks + penalty for cones falling only. (Amateur can choose to skate 1 line, or 2 lines, or the 3 lines of cones)
